Welcome to Wiregrass Georgia Technical College! Our website is designed to assist you in discovering the many educational opportunities available here at Wiregrass Georgia Tech as well as to keep you informed on the latest news and upcoming events at our college. I encourage you to take time to explore each page within this site. I feel confident you will find a program or service that meets your need.
Our mission can be summed up in two words: “workforce development.” We do workforce development through our instructional programs, through contract and continuing education training, and through adult education. All our programs are designed to meet the specific needs of business and industry throughout our 11-county service area. Wiregrass Georgia Technical College proudly offers 141 programs of study including 22 associate degree programs, 36 diploma programs, and 83 technical certificate of credit programs. Georgia QuickStart, contract training, and continuing education courses are offered through the Department of Economic Development. The college also offers adult education courses for individuals wishing to obtain their GED diploma.
Our courses are offered using a variety of instructional delivery models such as on-line, traditional classroom, and hybrid formats. Our faculty members are extremely dedicated and are among the most qualified in higher education. Not only are they equipped with excellent educational credentials, but they are practitioners with years of real-world experience in the field in which they teach.
We hope to have you visit one of our four main campuses in Valdosta, Fitzgerald, Douglas, and Sparks; or one of our many learning centers in the very near future to learn more about how Wiregrass Georgia Technical College can help you meet your educational needs. Our motto is “Building futures, one student at a time.” We are proud to carry out our mission in the heart of Georgia’s wiregrass region- Atkinson, Ben Hill, Berrien, Brooks, Coffee, Cook, Echols, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, and Wilcox counties.
Again, thank you for visiting our website. We look forward to serving you soon.
Sincerely,
D. Ray Perren, DSL
