Thank you for considering Wiregrass Georgia Technical College! We're so glad you are taking the time to explore what WGT has to offer!
WGTC offers 24 degree, 39 diploma, and more than 43 technical certificate of credit programs. Four campus locations serving eleven counties in South Georgia provides closer access to post secondary education for everyone. We offer programs in Allied Health, Business and Computer Sciences, Professional Services, and Technical and Industrial training.
Our courses are offered using a variety of instructional delivery models such as on-line, traditional classroom, and hybrid formats. Our faculty members are extremely dedicated and are among the most qualified in higher education. Not only are they equipped with excellent educational credentials, but they are practitioners with years of real-world experience in the field in which they teach.
We hope to have you visit one of our four main campuses in Valdosta, Fitzgerald, Douglas, and Sparks, or one of our many learning centers in the very near future to learn more about how Wiregrass Georgia Technical College can help you meet your educational needs. Submit a completed application to the admissions office at the campus you will be attending and pay a one-time, $20 non-refundable application fee. Be sure to fully and accurately answer all residency questions on the application and provide a copy of your Georgia Driver’s License to the Admissions Office. Additional proof of Georgia residency may also be required if seeking in-state tuition.
Submit official, sealed high school/GED transcripts. Opened transcripts are not official and therefore invalid.
Students from secondary schools outside the United States must have transcripts translated and evaluated by an approved outside organization.
Applicants of home schools who did not attend a recognized accredited program must adhere to the following alternative path for admission:
Recent home school graduates must provide a Declaration of Intent to Utilize a Home Study Program from the Georgia Department of Education instead of the things listed above.
Submit official, sealed transcript from your last college of attendance. Transcripts from other colleges of attendance may also be required for HOPE Scholarship Evaluation, transfer of credit purposes, or for student loan applications. Opened transcripts are not official and therefore invalid.

Complete the Compass placement test or submit valid ACT or SAT scores (applicants must have a valid picture ID to test). Transfer students with appropriate English and Math courses may not be required to test.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is the application for both the Federal Pell Grant AND the HOPE Scholarship/Grant. The application is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. THE SCHOOL CODE FOR WIREGRASS GEORGIA TECH IS 005256.
