Recycling fundraiser helps beat the budget crunch for WGTC Child Care Center

July 20, 2012

Fitzgerald, GA- Students, faculty, and staff of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College have been earning free cash for the Child Development Center by participating in the FundingFactory Recycling Program. They are collecting empty cartridges, cell phones, small electronics, and laptops from the community and sending the waste products to FundingFactory in exchange for their choice of technology and recreation products, or even cash.

By donating to WGTC’s Child Development Center, businesses can help the Center earn extra cash to be used towards scholarships and other Center projects. Community and business supporters are asked to drop off cartridges, cell phones, small electronics, and laptops at the following locations: Pine Street Adult Education Center, 115 East Pine Street, or at the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus, 667 Perry House Road in Fitzgerald.

Companies interested in demonstrating a commitment to education and the environment can participate free of charge in the FundingFactory Business Support Program. FundingFactory will send each supporting business FREE prepaid shipping labels for the return of collected cartridges, cell phones, small electronics, and laptops.
