Valdosta, GA – Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Foundation South received a grant for $7417 on February 6, 2014 from the Deloache Trust Fund and Southwest Georgia Bank. The funds will be used to establish a program to loan books to students of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. These funds will also provide books for dually enrolled high school students.

“Books are the most frequently requested items that students seek through the Foundation and we are very grateful for this grant. We will be able to loan books to many students which will reduce their educational expenses and help them succeed in college,” said Foundation Executive Director Dr. Penelope Schmidt.

Wiregrass is among the most affordable colleges in the area and this grant will provide additional assistance for some students.
