The first disbursement of Financial Aid refunds (Pell and scholarships) for Spring Semester 2016 for students whose financial aid was authorized on their BannerWeb account on or before November 25, 2015, will be issued on February 8, 2016. Future disbursements of financial aid refunds will be February 15, 2016, March 17, 2016, March 31, 2016, and April 14, 2016 as awards become approved. Private loan refunds are processed on the second refund date if funds have been received from the lender. Future disbursements of private loans will be based on the date the loan funds are received from the lender and after the next scheduled future disbursement date for Pell and scholarships as shown above. Disbursements are done in the order that financial aid was approved. Ensure that your BannerWeb mailing address is current at all times.
WGTC has three new ways for students to receive a refund. Students will receive a welcome package in a bright green envelope from Higher One, Inc. within 8 weeks after the first day of classes. Students will set up the refund option of their choice with Higher One, Inc. by following the instructions provided in the welcome package. Students should register as a new user with MyOneMoney.com once the welcome package is received to set up the refund option of their choice. If no option is selected within 21 days after the refund has been disbursed, Higher One, Inc. will send a paper check to the student encouraging them to select a preference for future disbursements to avoid wait times for refunds. The business office is available to assist students in selecting their preference.
Students who receive Title IV financial aid funds (i.e. PELL Grant) are eligible to use their excess funds, after tuition and fees are paid, for purchases in the campus bookstores via the Automated Book Voucher Program. Excess funds, after tuition and fees are paid, are available for book and supply purchases in the campus bookstores unless students choose to Opt Out of the program in advance. Students may opt out of having their funds available for use in the campus bookstores by signing this Request to Opt Out form.
