Orientation

Orientation for New Students

New students and students who are returning to Wiregrass Georgia Technical College after an absence of at least two years are required to complete an orientation for new students. The orientation is organized by the Department of Student Affairs. Sessions are held at each campus, and dates and times of all orientation sessions are advertised each semester. The purpose of the orientation is to familiarize new students with the college, its policies and procedures, state and federal rules and regulations, safety, work ethics, and other issues of importance to the students’ general welfare while attending classes at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. Students are given information needed to access the Student Handbook and other documents that contain all the rules, regulations, and general information with which students should become familiar.
