Student organizations and activities are an integral part of student life at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College and are strongly supported by the faculty and staff. We firmly believe that the student’s academic life is greatly enhanced through involvement in activities that develop and promote professionalism and interaction with other students. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in one or more of several student professional organizations sanctioned by the college.
The Wiregrass Reader: Rural Voices from Home, WGTC’s award-winning literary journal for four years running, is accepting submissions in poetry, essays, narratives, photography, and short stories. Click here to find out more, or contact Michael Williams at michael.williams@wiregrass.edu, or Katherine Maestas at katherine.maestas@wiregrass.edu. Deadline for submissions is January 20, 2012. The journal will be published in the Spring of 2012.
