Department Operational Updates

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College will continue to operate under the Fall Return to Campus Plan for Spring 2021. As part of the plan, campus visitors and students are expected to follow all safety guidelines put in place in accordance with state and federal guidelines that include but are not limited to social distancing, face coverings and symptom screenings when required.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our student, faculty, staff and communities will continue to be our utmost priority.

Academic Advising

ARC advisors are available to meet with students on campus, by phone, and virtually by WebEx. Appointments can be made using myNavigate.

When you arrive to campus for your scheduled appointment, CHECK IN to your scheduled appointment ONLINE:

  • Download and open the Navigate Student mobile app
  • Click on APPOINTMENTS
  • Click on the appropriate appointment
  • Review arrival instructions and click CHECK IN ONLINE
  • Select OKAY and follow the arrival instructions you were provided

Students with scheduled virtual or phone appointments do not need to check in; however, you will need to enter the advisor virtual (WebEX) office or call the number listed in the appointment at the scheduled time.

Students can “drop-in” on campus or virtually by visiting the ARC Virtual Front Office. Enter your name and email address. JOIN Meeting. There may be a wait if other students are in the room. ARC Virtual Office Hours are Mon – Thur 8am – 5pm.

To check the status of your application:

  1. Login to BannerWeb with this link. Use the same login information used to submit your application
  2. Under the “Processed Applications” section click on the application you submitted. (Example: Summer Semester 2021)
  3. Click on the application name, to see your application status and major. If you are listed as “Incomplete Items Outstanding,” look at the checklist at the bottom. Any items that do not have a “Received” date must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. Documents should be emailed to admissions@wiregrass.edu

Bookstore Updates

Bookstores will be open to students for in store purchases beginning January 11. Face masks and distancing will be required. Students may use financial aid for purchases through January 25.

Financial Aid

Financial Aid offices are open Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 5:30 pm. Staff are available to talk with you by calling 229-333-2107. You may email financialaid@wiregrass.edu. Designated staff are monitoring e-mails.

Assistance completing the FAFSA is also available online through the Federal Student Aid Information Center (FSAIC). Contact the FSAIC (https://studentaid.gov/help-center/contact)

Parking Decals: Students will still need to have and properly display a parking decal. The application can be completed online. Students may also wait to pick up their parking permit during the first week of classes. Parking citations will be issued after May 31st. Parking Permit Application

Student ID: Students must still wear their Wiregrass Student ID while on campus. If you are a new student or returning student and do not have an ID, email admissions@wiregrass.edu the photo you would like on your ID and a copy of your state issued identification (Driver’s License or other ID) for verification. Your student ID can then be picked up in Admissions on the Ben Hill-Irwin, Coffee, and Cook Campuses or in the Library on the Valdosta Campus. If you need the student ID prior to then, email admissions@wiregrass.edu to request an appointment to pick it up.
