Vision

Student Affairs at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College seeks to become the premier student support and services division in the Technical College System of Georgia. We envision a network of programs and services that excels in recruiting new students, meeting students’ out-of-classroom needs, complementing their academic success, and building community on a diverse campus. In doing so, we will serve as examples for our students on providing exemplary customer service in today’s workforce.

Mission

Student Affairs will enhance students’ educational experiences through programs and services that facilitate academic success from recruitment through graduation in support of the mission of Wiregrass Georgia Technical College. Student Affairs will build a strong and open community with both our faculty and our student body. We will encourage inclusiveness, invite communication, and add to the cultural richness of the institution.

We will focus on the personal development of our learners by:

  • Supporting prospective, current, and returning students in their academic success
  • Providing timely and accurate information and assistance concerning academic policies, procedures, requirements, programs, and registration
  • Promoting student leadership and involvement
  • Fostering diversity
  • Educating students to make reasoned and well-informed choices
  • Acclimating students to the campus and surrounding community
