Basic Life Support Training for Health Care Professionals Offered at Wiregrass

Douglas, GA — Wiregrass Georgia Technical College will be holding an American Heart Association Certification for HealthCare Professionals in the community or workplace on February 17 from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. on the Coffee Campus of Wiregrass. The Basic Life Support (BLS) course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of AED. BLS for Healthcare Providers teaches skills using the American Heart Associations’ proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows Instructors to observe students, provide feedback and guide students’ acquisition of skills. This four-hour training session includes Adult, Child and Infant CPR and AED. A two-year certification card is awarded at completion. The cost is $70.
