Valdosta, GA – Taylor Stone of Coffee County has been chosen to represent Wiregrass Georgia Technical College as the 2026 Dinah Culbreath Wayne Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) Student of the Year. The announcement was made at the 29th Annual EAGLE Reception, sponsored by the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce and First Federal Savings and Loan of Valdosta.
The EAGLE program, an initiative of the Certified Literate Community Program (CLCP), celebrates adult education students who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in literacy and personal success. Each year, Wiregrass honors students who exemplify dedication, perseverance, and the life-changing power of education.
In addition to Stone’s recognition, Aaron Carter of Lowndes County was named first runner-up, and finalists included Shacaria Clay (Lowndes County), Alisa Espinosa (Lanier County), and Amanda Beene (Ben Hill County). All participants were commended for their inspiring educational journeys and contributions to their communities.
