Posted on

Fitzgerald, Ga— Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Foundation North awarded multiple scholarships to help students complete their education and develop workforce skills. Two students from the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus were among the 14 Wiregrass students awarded scholarships, which were made possible because of generous college supporters. The scholarships will help pay for tuition, fees, books, and/or supplies needed for their programs. The scholarships were merit-based and applicants had to complete an application and provide letters of support.

The Ben Hill-Irwin Campus students awarded scholarships for Spring Semester are Marva Clark and Deborah Finley. Clark, an Associate of Science in Nursing student is the recipient of the Buck and Libby Anderson Scholarship. Finley, an Early Childhood and Care Education student received the Kreuger Scholarship.

Finley shared that she plans to use her scholarship towards her tuition and fees. She needed one more class to complete her Associate of Science in Early Childhood Care and Education and this scholarship will allow her to complete her degree.
