Adel, GA – Wiregrass Georgia Technical College will host a Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) training October 28–31 on the Cook County Campus. This 32-hour course prepares participants with the skills and credentials needed for one of today’s fastest-growing technical career fields.
The CFOT program provides comprehensive training in fiber optics, including installation, termination, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic systems. Participants will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard equipment and techniques, making this course ideal for individuals entering the field or for professionals looking to expand their technical expertise.
The course runs over four days and costs $1,200. Upon successful completion, students will be prepared to sit for the internationally recognized Certified Fiber Optic Technician exam, an industry benchmark credential that demonstrates readiness for in-demand jobs across telecommunications, utilities, data centers, and other technology-driven sectors.
