The Tutoring Center and Open Lab is a crucial component to the Wiregrass mission. Math tutors help students build math and reasoning skills at all levels. English tutoring offer assistance for English language writing, research, and critical reading skills. Computer tutors also assist in an introduction to fundamental computer concepts and operation, including file management, word processing, and database software, among others. One-on-one academic coaching helps students develop effective academic skills and contributes to student success.

Tutors are available to meet one-on-one with students to assist them with their particular academic needs. These tutors are well versed in various task in and out of the classroom and can help students succeed in their own individual efforts. Students can rely on tutors to read papers, offer suggestions, and support with general competencies needed for their classes. Working in conjunction with professors, tutors are able to facilitate learning paths that work for each individual student. If you are unable to meet with a face-to-face tutor, online tutoring is also available through Tutor.com. Tutor.com allows you to meet online, one-on-one with a tutor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For additional information concerning online tutoring with Tutor.com, or to schedule a one-on-one tutor, call 229-333-2100 ext.2463 or visit the Tutoring Center Center in Room 350.
